Thin-blood alchemy (Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition)
Definition
Thin-Blood Alchemy is the unique craft of the thin-blooded: unable to rely on potent clan Disciplines, they distill their watery vitae together with chemicals, drugs, and other reagents to brew temporary effects called Formulae. It is creative, improvisational, and entirely the domain of the Duskborn. Rather than learning fixed powers, an alchemist mixes Formulae using a method of distillation, producing effects that can mimic other Disciplines, conjure fog, or manipulate the body and blood. Higher ratings unlock more advanced Formulae and faster, more reliable ways to brew them.

Frequently asked questions
Who can use Thin-Blood Alchemy?
Only thin-bloods (the Duskborn). It is not tied to a clan, and full-blooded vampires of the established clans cannot learn it.
How is it different from other Disciplines?
Other Disciplines grant fixed powers at each level. Thin-Blood Alchemy instead lets you brew Formulae, temporary effects mixed from vitae and reagents using a method of distillation.
What can Formulae do?
They range from telekinesis (Far Reach) and conjuring fog (Haze, Envelop) to Counterfeiting other Disciplines and Defractionating stored blood so it can sustain a vampire.
