How It Works
Set your base dice pool (skill + attribute) and stress dice, then roll. Sixes are successes. Stress dice sixes also count, but ones on stress dice trigger a panic roll.
Pro tips
Manage your stress carefully. More stress dice give you more chances for successes, but also more chances for panic. Try to reduce stress during downtime.
FAQ
How do Stress dice work in Alien RPG?
Stress dice are extra d6s added to your pool from your current Stress level. A 6 on a stress die counts as a success, but a 1 triggers a mandatory panic roll (d6 + current stress). More stress means more dice but higher panic risk.
How does panic work?
When a stress die shows 1, roll a d6 and add your current stress level. Results range from nervous tremors (low) to catatonic shock at 15+ (high). Panic can cascade to other crew members.
