Shoulder Arms covers your proficiency with two-handed firearms—assault rifles, sniper rifles, shotguns, and other long guns. These are the heavy hitters of personal combat, offering superior range, damage, and firepower compared to handguns, at the cost of concealability. Shoulder Arms uses your REF stat and is the primary skill for serious firefights. When you know combat is coming and concealment doesn't matter, shoulder arms are the weapons of choice. An assault rifle puts rounds downrange fast, a shotgun clears a room, and a sniper rifle eliminates targets from blocks away. In Night City's gang wars, corporate strikes, and edgerunner operations, shoulder arms are what turn a firefight in your favor. The downside is obvious—you can't hide a rifle under your jacket, and walking the streets armed to the teeth draws attention from law enforcement and gangs alike.
