Tracking (Cyberpunk RED)
Definition
Tracking is the ability to follow a trail—physical footprints, tire tracks, blood drops, disturbed trash, or any other signs of someone's passage. While it might sound like a wilderness skill, Tracking is surprisingly useful in Night City's urban jungle. Following someone through rain-slicked alleys, tracking a wounded target by blood drops through a combat zone, or tracing tire marks from a getaway vehicle all fall under this skill. Tracking uses your INT stat and represents your trained eye for detail and pattern recognition. In the urban environment, tracks take different forms than in the wild—scuff marks on concrete, displaced garbage, security footage gaps that suggest a route, or chemical residue from a vehicle. Bounty hunters, investigators, and anyone who needs to find people who don't want to be found rely on Tracking to close the distance between hunter and prey.

Frequently asked questions
Does Tracking work in Night City's urban environment?
Absolutely. Urban tracking follows different signs—scuff marks, displaced objects, blood trails, security footage gaps, and vehicle traces. The principles are the same, adapted to concrete and chrome.
