Strength (Hunter: The Reckoning 5th Edition)
Definition
Strength represents raw physical power -- the ability to lift heavy objects, break down doors, restrain struggling targets, and deal devastating blows in hand-to-hand combat. For hunters, Strength is often the difference between surviving a physical encounter with a supernatural creature and being overpowered entirely. Unlike the monsters they hunt, hunters cannot rely on supernatural abilities to enhance their physical capabilities. A hunter's Strength is entirely earned through training, genetics, and sheer determination. This makes every dot of Strength precious, because when a vampire grabs you by the throat, there are no Disciplines to fall back on -- only muscle and willpower. Strength is critical during the most desperate moments of the Hunt. Whether you're hauling an injured cell member to safety, forcing open a sealed crypt, or driving a stake through a monster's chest, Strength determines your effectiveness. Hunters who neglect physical conditioning often don't survive their first real confrontation.

Frequently asked questions
Can a hunter's Strength match a vampire's?
Rarely. Most supernatural creatures have enhanced physical capabilities. Hunters compensate with tactics, weapons, Edges, and teamwork rather than trying to match raw power.
