Cult of the Blood Gods

Cult of the Blood Gods is a loresheet in Vampire V5: You have ties to the mysterious Hecata death cult.

Overview

The Cult of the Blood Gods loresheet places your character inside the religious side of the Hecata, where the clan's necromancy is not a tool but a liturgy. Its members treat the dead as an audience and the ancient sleepers beneath the world as gods who can still be bargained with. Characters with this loresheet have congregations, mortal and Kindred, and access to rites that other clans consider blasphemous even by vampire standards. The cult provides shelter and secrets, and it expects attendance, tithes, and obedience in return.

How it works

Benefits: Access to cult resources and safehouses, Oblivion lore, mortal congregants who ask no questions Dot Levels: Higher levels mean rank in the hierarchy and the rites that come with it Cost: The cult's demands are not optional, and refusing an order is a doctrinal problem, not a personal one

Tips and playstyle

Best For: Hecata characters, occultists, anyone building a coterie around necromantic secrets Story Hooks: A rite goes wrong and something answers; a rival branch of the family declares your congregation heretical

Frequently asked questions

Do I need Oblivion to take this?

No, though the loresheet is most useful to characters who already work with the dead. Mortal cultists have no Disciplines at all.

Is the cult a single organization?

No. The Hecata are a family of feuding lines, and their cults inherit those feuds intact.
