A stocky twelve-year-old girl who sits perfectly motionless for unnaturally long periods, her dark eyes rarely blinking as she stares at whoever she's speaking to. Wears a faded floral dress that's too small for her sturdy frame and scuffed brown boots. Her unwashed hair hangs in limp braids, and she has dirt permanently embedded under her fingernails from farm work.

A tall, angular woman in her late thirties with calloused fingers from decades of needlework and prematurely gray hair pulled back in a messy bun. Her clothes are always wrinkled and she has a habit of adjusting her wire-rimmed glasses while speaking. When she laughs, it's a startling cackle that seems too loud for her thin frame.

A gaunt seventeen-year-old with hollow cheeks and clothes that hang loose on his bony frame. His hands are covered in deliberate scars forming geometric patterns, some still healing. Despite his exhausted appearance, he gestures wildly when speaking and takes up far more space than his thin body should allow.
