Overview
The Descendant of Helena loresheet places your character in the line of a Toreador methuselah identified in Kindred legend with Helen of Troy, the face that started a war. Her descendants inherit a reputation for beauty and artistic obsession, and a lineage that has shaped what the Clan of the Rose considers excellence for millennia. Being recognized as one of Helena's blood is a social instrument. Toreador who would ignore a neonate will make time for the lineage, salons open without an introduction, and elders who once knew her treat you as a message from someone they have complicated feelings about. It also draws the attention of Kindred who believe the line is cursed, since Helena's story ends badly for almost everyone in it.
How it works
Benefits: Recognition among Toreador and art-world Kindred, introductions that would otherwise take years, and inherited knowledge about a methuselah other clans study from a distance Dot Levels: Lower levels are reputation and access. Higher levels mean the lineage is documented, elders answer when you write, and Helena's own history becomes usable information Obligation: The line is judged on aesthetics. Kindred who claim it and then behave crudely lose the benefit faster than they gained it

Do I have to play a Toreador?
Helena is Toreador, so it is the natural fit. Her blood has spread through Embraces and diablerie, though, so ask your Storyteller before claiming the line from another clan.
Does this make my character beautiful?
It grants reputation and access, not Attributes. If you want striking looks on the sheet, buy Charisma, Appearance-focused Merits, or Presence, and use the loresheet for doors.
Is Helena still active?
Most tables keep her in torpor or offstage. She works best as a rumor with consequences, since a living methuselah taking an interest in you ends most chronicles quickly.
