Overview
The Gehenna War loresheet marks your character as someone who went to the war in the Middle East and came back. Kindred drawn by the Beckoning gather there to fight over sites where ancients are said to sleep, and the fighting is real: coteries, artillery, mortal proxies, and elders burning up in the desert. Veterans return with relics, scars, and knowledge nobody in a quiet domain wants confirmed. You have seen what the Beckoning does to elders, which means you know exactly how little time the ones running your city have left.
How it works
Benefits: War contacts across sect lines, salvaged relics, firsthand knowledge of the excavation sites Dot Levels: Higher levels reflect deeper involvement and better access to what was pulled out of the ground Aftermath: Everyone who fought there wants something back, and some of them followed you home
Tips and playstyle
Best For: Elders and ancillae, soldiers, characters who want Gehenna to be present in the chronicle instead of abstract Story Hooks: A relic you kept turns out to be tracked; an old comrade arrives with a debt and a warning
Frequently asked questions
Which side was I on?
Camarilla, Anarch, Sabbat, or freelance. The war runs on shifting alliances, and having fought for the wrong flag is a usable complication.
Did I see an Antediluvian?
Almost certainly not. Veterans see the digs, the fanatics, and the elders who walk into the desert and never return.
