First Aid represents emergency medical treatment, stopping bleeding, stabilizing injuries, and keeping someone alive until proper medical care is available. In the dangerous world of Call of Cthulhu, First Aid saves lives. Unlike Medicine (which covers diagnosis and long-term treatment), First Aid is for immediate emergencies. Everyone should consider having at least basic First Aid.
How it works
Base Value: 30% Common Rolls:
- Stabilizing a dying character
- Stopping bleeding
- Treating shock
- Basic wound care HP Recovery: Successful First Aid restores 1 HP. Can only be attempted once per wound. Time Limit: First Aid must be administered within 1 hour of injury. vs Medicine: First Aid is immediate emergency care. Medicine is for ongoing treatment.

Everyone Needs Some: Even 30% base gives you a chance to save a dying ally. Consider investing more. Carry a Kit: First Aid kits provide bonuses. Always have one. Know Your Limits: First Aid can't cure everything. Serious injuries need Medicine.
