Cyberpunk RED character creation checklist: choose a Role, set stats, assign skills, pick cyberware, and hit the streets.
Creation steps
- 1. Choose a Role (Solo, Netrunner, Tech, Medtech, Media, Exec, Lawman, Fixer, Nomad, Rockerboy).
- 2. Roll or choose Lifepath (family, motivations, enemies, style).
- 3. Distribute 62 stat points across 10 stats (each 2-8, LUCK included).
- 4. Set Role Ability at rank 4 (Edgerunner mode).
- 5. Distribute 86 skill points (no skill above 6 at creation, except Language).
- 6. Pick starting gear from your Role's gear package.
- 7. Choose starting cyberware (free basic chrome; respect Humanity Loss).
- 8. Calculate derived stats: HP, Humanity, Death Save, MOVE, carry capacity.
- 9. Fill in Lifepath details (style, contacts, enemies).

Common mistakes
- Stats must be 2-8 at creation (not 1-10).
- Skill cap is 6, not 10: that cap only applies after spending IP in play.
- Cyberware costs Humanity: every piece of chrome reduces your EMP-derived Humanity. Plan ahead.
