Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition character sheet: every box explained
The Vampire: The Masquerade V5 character sheet tracks your vampire's Attributes, Skills, Disciplines, and the Hunger that defines unlife. Dots (1-5) measure everything; dice pools combine an Attribute + Skill.
Character identity

Your vampire's chosen or birth name.
How to fill: Pick a name that fits the clan, era, and setting.
Example: Nadya Kozlova
- ambition
Your vampire's long-term personal goal.
How to fill: Something concrete enough that you could accomplish or fail at it.
Example: Expose the Prince's corruption to the Primogen
- clan
Your vampire's bloodline, which determines your Discipline spread, Bane, and Compulsion.
How to fill: Choose from the 13 clans (or Caitiff/Thin-Blood). Your clan sets your starting Discipline options.

A one-line summary of who your character is.
How to fill: Combine a personality adjective with a role or archetype.
Example: Jaded investigative journalist
- desire
A short-term, session-scale want that drives roleplay.
How to fill: Should change frequently. Fulfilling a Desire can recover Willpower.
Example: Find out who burned my haven
- generation
How far removed you are from Caine. Lower generation = higher Blood Potency ceiling.
How to fill: Most neonates are 12th-13th generation. Your Storyteller may set this.

How your vampire habitually feeds. Grants a Discipline dot, skill dots, and a Humanity modifier.
How to fill: Pick one from the corebook list (Alleycat, Bagger, Blood Leech, Cleaver, Consensualist, Farmer, Osiris, Sandman, Scene Queen, Siren).

How to fill: Rate 1-5 dots. Combined with Brawl or Melee for physical attacks.

Speed, agility, and hand-eye coordination.
How to fill: Rate 1-5 dots. Pairs with Firearms, Stealth, and Melee.

Endurance and physical toughness.
How to fill: Rate 1-5 dots. Part of your Health track and soak calculations.

- charisma
Charm, presence, and the ability to inspire.
How to fill: Rate 1-5 dots. Pairs with Leadership, Performance, Persuasion.

The ability to get what you want through guile, negotiation, or deception.

Personal moral principles that protect your Humanity from Stains.
How to fill: Write 1-3 convictions tied to your Touchstones. A Stain that violates a Conviction is ignored.

Living mortals who anchor your Convictions and keep you connected to Humanity.
How to fill: Name a mortal for each Conviction. Losing a Touchstone risks losing the Conviction.

Derived traits
- health
Your damage track. Superficial and Aggravated damage fill boxes left to right.
How to fill: Stamina + 3 = total Health boxes. Track damage during play.
Example: 5 boxes (Stamina 2 + 3)
- willpower
Mental resilience. Spend to reroll up to 3 dice; recover by fulfilling Desires or resting.
How to fill: Composure + Resolve = total Willpower boxes. Track Superficial and Aggravated damage to it.
Example: 6 (Composure 3 + Resolve 3)
- humanity
How close to human your vampire remains. Low Humanity means more bestial, less empathetic.
How to fill: Starts at 7 for most characters (modified by Predator Type). Drops from Stains at the end of sessions.

The power of your Blood. Higher potency increases Discipline power, feeding restrictions, and Blood Surge bonus.
How to fill: Determined by generation and age. Most neonates start at 1.
