What is Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition?
Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition is the world's most popular tabletop roleplaying game, where players create heroic adventurers and explore fantastical worlds filled with magic, monsters, and mystery. Using a d20-based system, players roll a twenty-sided die plus modifiers to determine the outcome of attacks, skill checks, and saving throws.
How Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition works
Character creation in D&D 5e starts with choosing a race: Human (+1 to all scores), Elf (DEX + free cantrip), Dwarf (CON + resilience), Halfling (DEX + Lucky), Dragonborn (STR + breath weapon), Gnome (INT + magic resistance), Half-Elf (CHA + versatility), Half-Orc (STR + Relentless Endurance), or Tiefling (CHA + innate spells). Each race grants ability score bonuses, traits, and proficiencies.
