Overview

Aristocrats were born into privilege and raised among the ruling class. They learned the arts of leadership, governance, etiquette, and political maneuvering from an early age. Whether they were minor nobility, merchant princes, or members of a ruling council, their upbringing gave them connections and confidence. Choosing Aristocrat as your career means your character has a background of wealth, education, and social standing. This does not mean they are still wealthy or powerful; many heroes with the Aristocrat career left their privileged life behind or lost it through circumstance. What remains is the training, the connections, and the expectation of command.

Tips and playstyle

Best Classes: Tactician (trained commander), Troubadour (charismatic leader), Conduit (noble devotion to a divine cause), Censor (aristocratic investigator). Character Concepts: Exiled noble, reform-minded politician, privileged idealist, fallen house scion, reluctant heir, noble turned adventurer. Roleplaying Tips: Consider your relationship with your privilege. Did you reject it, lose it, or still benefit from it? How do you treat people of lower social standing? Your aristocratic background creates interesting tension when fighting alongside common folk.

Frequently asked questions

Am I still wealthy as an Aristocrat?

Not necessarily. The Aristocrat career represents your past, not your current circumstances. You might have lost your wealth, given it away, or left it behind. What you keep is the training, knowledge, and social skills from your upbringing.

Can an Aristocrat be from a non-human culture?

Absolutely. Every ancestry has its own forms of social hierarchy and leadership. A Dwarf Aristocrat might be from a mining clan's ruling family. An Orc Aristocrat might be a chief's heir. The concept of privilege and leadership is universal.
