Overview
The Farmer is a conscientious predator who feeds exclusively from animals, avoiding the moral weight of preying on humans. Farmers are often vampires who cling to their humanity and refuse to feed on people, seeing animal blood as the lesser evil. This predator type is perfect for characters who want to maintain their moral compass despite their vampiric nature. Farmers gain a bonus to Animalism, making them adept at communicating with and calming animals. However, animal blood is far less nourishing than human blood, especially at higher Blood Potency, making this feeding style increasingly difficult to sustain.

Frequently asked questions
Can I survive on animal blood at higher Blood Potency?
At Blood Potency 1, animal blood provides limited sustenance. At Blood Potency 2+, animals become ineffective for reducing Hunger, forcing Farmers to eventually confront the need for human blood or find other solutions.
What makes Farmer different from Osiris?
Farmer feeds from animals to avoid preying on humans entirely, while Osiris leads a cult and feeds from devoted human followers. Farmer is about avoiding human predation, Osiris is about charismatic control.
Can Farmer work with any clan?
Yes, but it works especially well with Gangrel who already have Animalism as a clan Discipline. It's a natural fit for any character who values their humanity.
Where do I find animals in an urban setting?
Stray animals, urban wildlife (rats, pigeons, raccoons), pets, zoos, animal shelters, or venturing outside the city to farms and wilderness areas. Animalism helps locate and calm animals for feeding.
