Church of Caine is a loresheet in Vampire V5: You have connections to the ancient Church of Caine.

Overview

The Church of Caine loresheet ties your character to Noddist faith: the belief that Caine was the first vampire, that his curse is scripture rather than biology, and that he will return to judge his descendants. Its clergy preach from the Book of Nod and treat every fragment of it as doctrine worth fighting over. The church came out of the Sabbat and survived the sect's collapse by going quiet and portable. Characters with this loresheet gain teachers, texts, and congregations, plus a set of theological rivals who consider their reading of the same fragments a capital error.

How it works

Benefits: Noddist scholarship, access to fragments and relics, clergy contacts who move between cities Dot Levels: Higher levels mean ordination, rarer texts, and authority over other believers Doctrine: The faith expects you to act on prophecy, which rarely aligns with what your prince wants

Tips and playstyle

Best For: Sabbat survivors, scholars, Lasombra and Tzimisce characters, coteries chasing Gehenna prophecy Story Hooks: A newly recovered fragment contradicts your sect's account of its own founding

Frequently asked questions

Is Caine confirmed to exist?

No, and the church exists because of that gap. Faith without proof is the entire dramatic engine here.

Do Camarilla vampires join?

Quietly. Open Noddist preaching in a Camarilla domain reads as Sabbat sympathy and gets treated accordingly.
