Overview

Airborne Momentum is a Level 2 Thin-Blood Alchemy formula that lifts the alchemist off the ground. The effect is closer to a controlled leap held far too long than to a bird in flight: you rise, you steer badly, and you come down where you aimed if you were careful about aiming. For duskborn it answers a specific problem. Rooftops, fire escapes, and locked upper floors are where you hide when the ground belongs to someone stronger, and this formula puts them within reach without climbing gear or a broken ankle.

How it works

Level: 2 Effect: Lift yourself off the ground and travel through the air with limited control Ingredients: Resonant blood prepared with the reagents the recipe specifies Duration: Short, measured in moments rather than the whole scene, so plan the landing before you leave the ground

Tips and playstyle

Best Uses: Reaching a rooftop, crossing a gap, dropping into a courtyard nobody watches Limitations: A vampire hanging in midair is the least subtle thing on the street; witnesses are a Masquerade problem

Frequently asked questions

Is this true flight?

No. It is limited, brief, and clumsy compared with an elder using Protean or Celerity to cover ground.

What happens if the formula ends while I am up there?

You fall, and the ground does what the ground does. Time the effect against the height you chose.
