Daggerheart domain
Grace
Grace is a domain in Daggerheart: agility, performance, and fluid movement turned into magic.

Overview
Grace is motion as power. Its cards cover mobility, misdirection, charm, and performance, which makes it the domain that gets a character out of a bad position rather than tanking it. In a system where Evasion is the number an attacker must beat, not being where the blow lands is a defense in itself. The Bard takes it with Codex and the Rogue takes it with Midnight, a pairing that shows the domain's range: one dances in front of a crowd and one moves through a room nobody is watching. The Bard leads with Presence and the Rogue with Finesse, so Grace supports both the loud approach and the quiet one.
How it works
Classes: Bard (paired with Codex) and Rogue (paired with Midnight). The Bard's primary trait is Presence and the Rogue's is Finesse. Card Types: Movement and repositioning, evasive reactions, performance effects that shift how others behave, and abilities that support or reposition an ally. Several are worth spending Hope on, which also covers assisting another player's roll. Themes: Agility, performance, and fluid movement.
Tips and playstyle
Best for: Bards who want to stay untouched while they work a room, and Rogues who need an exit from every position they get into. Character concepts: Dancer-duelist, acrobat thief, stage magician, fencing tutor, a courier who has never once been caught. Synergies: Agility sets your Evasion and Grace cards build on movement, so those two reinforce each other. Grace with Codex (the Bard) gives you something to say and the footwork to leave before it lands badly. Grace with Midnight (the Rogue) is the infiltration pair: move well, then be unseen.
Frequently asked questions
Is Grace a magical domain or a physical one?
Both. Its theme is agility, performance, and fluid movement, and its cards express that as supernatural effects. A Bard and a Rogue are not doing gymnastics, they are turning motion and presence into something the rules treat as magic.
Does Grace improve my Evasion?
Evasion comes from your class base plus your Agility modifier. Grace cards do not change that formula, but they give you repositioning and reactive options, which is how the domain keeps you from being hit in practice.
Grace or Midnight for a stealthy Rogue?
The Rogue gets both and they cover different halves. Midnight handles shadow, concealment, and hidden things; Grace handles movement, speed, and getting out clean. A pure infiltration build wants cards from each.
