Overview

Empty resonance is human blood with nothing behind it. The vessel is numb rather than sad: heavily medicated, dissociated, burned out past feeling, or in the flat calm that follows a catastrophe. The blood is real and it feeds you, but it carries no emotion for the Blood to latch onto and no flavor worth remembering. Most of the time this is a disappointment rather than a decision. It becomes a genuine problem at high Blood Potency, since this system's rules require emotionally resonant blood from Blood Potency 4 up. An elder who drains an empty vessel has committed a murder and gained a meal that barely counts.

Tips and playstyle

Best For: Kindred who do not want another person's mood riding them, and low Blood Potency characters who only need to slake Hunger Limitations: No bonus dice, no dyscrasia, and no value at all to an elder at Blood Potency 4 or above Victim Concern: An empty vessel is usually someone in real trouble, and they are less likely than most to survive a rough feeding or to be missed quickly
